Privacy Policy

Veliome Labs ("Veliome", "we", "us") makes the Veliome iOS app. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. It applies to the app and to veliome.com.
No account required
Veliome does not require you to sign up or log in. There is no Veliome server account tied to your identity.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter in the app — your onboarding answers, meals, tracked plants, fermented-food servings, mood and symptom entries, weight and profile details, and your Gut Score history — is stored locally on your iPhone using standard iOS on-device storage. We do not operate a server that receives, views, or stores this information, and we do not sell or share it with third parties.
Optional interface translation
Veliome's interface is available in many languages. To generate those translations, the app can send its own static interface text (button labels, headings, and similar UI copy — never your personal logs, meals, or health entries) to OpenAI's API. This only happens when translation is needed for your selected language, and the request never includes your personal data.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders during onboarding, Veliome asks for Apple's standard notification permission and schedules reminders locally on your device. We don't use a push-notification server.
Optional at-home test kit
Veliome offers information about an optional mail-in microbiome test kit. If and when you choose to order one, sample collection, lab processing, and results will be handled by a third-party laboratory partner under its own privacy notice, which will be presented to you separately before any sample is submitted. No sample or lab data is transmitted through the app today.
What we don't do
- No advertising or ad-tracking SDKs.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that identify you personally.
- No Apple Health / HealthKit integration.
- No selling of personal data, ever.
Your choices
You can delete all locally stored data at any time by deleting the app from your device. Because we don't hold a copy of your logs on a server, there is nothing further for us to erase on request — but if you have questions about your data, contact us and we'll help.
Children
Veliome is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's release notes.
